THE SEGMENT TYPE BOTTOM DISCHARGER Similar to the segment type inside discharger this element of air slide equipment uses the same principle for changing the direction of flow.

The drawing demonstrates this simple principle. It is selfexplanatory and does not need many words to make it clear. When conveying straight, the conveying good flows over the permanently aerated bottom (part of the segment). When conveying downwards, the segment is put into the bottom free position. As can be seen all aerated parts of the discharger are protected against wear by perforated sheetsteel. Incrustations and little foreign bodies cannot cause inclompete closing of the closed way. Actuator and control equipment are as proved good in IBAU FLOW CONTROL GATES.
