The first cement ring silo was built in 1979 for WÜLFRATHER ZEMENT GMBH on the
site of the Thyssen Steelworks in Duisburg - Schwelgern. Two different types of slag
cement had to be stored and handled in one silo with exactly the same outside dimensions
